This 1 1/2 day Virtual Business Summit was designed to educate, stimulate and help you transform your career! Learn key business and fundamental concepts that you didn’t learn in PT school! This Summit was created for clinicians who are either burning out, thinking about pivoting, want to learn strategies to get out of debt quickly and/or are thinking of making a career change. Learn about what a "side" hustle is, passive revenue streams as well as non clinical roles available and much more!

Seminar objectives:

  1. Identify the causes or reasons why burnout occurs affecting allied health professionals.

  2. Identify strategies on how to get out of student debt.

  3. Evaluate the key components of what branding is and how to brand yourself.

  4. Identify the foundation of what a side hustle is and how for a clinician to develop one.

  5. Identify at least 10 types of passive residual revenue streams.

  6. Identify the foundation of Social media and Marketing as it relates to marketing yourself.

  7. Develop then implement a plan for empowering your career.

CHRIS GELLERT
PT, MMUsc & Sportsphysio, MPT, CSCS, C-IASTM, NASM-CPT

Chris is the CEO and founder of Pinnacle Training & Consulting Systems, LLC. Chris uniquely is an experienced physical therapist, consultant, educator and a personal trainer with 24 years of experience. He holds an Advanced Master’s degree in orthopedics & sports physical therapy from the University of South Australia, a Master’s degree in physical therapy from Nova Southeastern University, and a B.S. in Marketing from SUNY Plattsburgh.

Chris has practiced in a variety of settings including, home care, hospital, inpatient, outpatient, industrial rehabilitation, and private practice settings. He has managed clinics and realized owning a practice was not his interest early on in his career. As he reflected, he knew he wanted to do more. To reach out and empower both physical therapists and personal trainers.

Chris's experiences in these settings left him wanting to do more. Which fueled him in 2003 to start Pinnacle Training & Consulting Systems. He has solely developed 17 home study courses, 5 live seminars, 2 advanced certifications, teaching the foundation of the science behind the movement to personal trainers and physical therapists. Over the last 15 years, Chris has consulted with dentists, exercise manufacturers, and has expert witness experience. Chris has three wonderful amazing dogs, loves to hike, mt bike, travel, and most of all, spend time with his amazing wife Ailie.

KEVIN DEGROOT
PT

Dr. Kevin DeGroot has been the owner of T-Zero Physio in Denver, CO for the past 8 years. T-Zero is a predominantly cash based physical therapy practice with therapists serving golfers, triathletes, outdoor enthusiasts and women’s health/pelvic floor conditions.

 

Through the experience of owning and growing T-Zero, Kevin has also had the opportunity to coach other therapists who are looking to start and grow therapy practices.

 

This led him to become the CEO of Uncaged Clinician and has given him the opportunity to work with over a thousand practice owners from around the US and Canada in helping with marketing strategies, operations, and team development.

 

Kevin’s favorite part of working with clinicians is giving them creative solutions to every day problems that allow them to love their career and grow successful and sustainable practices.

RYAN HASTIE
PT, DPT, CPFA

Ryan is a Physical Therapist and aside from holding a doctorate in PT, he holds a CPFA (Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor) designation.

SAMANTHA RITZ
PT

Samantha "Sam" Ritz PT, DPT, an accomplished Physical Therapist from Dallas, Texas, with a distinguished background in athletics and sports. A first-team NCCAA All-American tennis player from McMurry University, Dr. Sam went on to receive her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of North Texas Health Science Center. After treating & then managing an outpatient orthopedic clinic, which led to burnout & frustration with the insurance based healthcare model. Sam founded her private practice, FX Physical Therapy, which emphasizes personalized, holistic care tailored to the pickleball & tennis player’s unique needs. Dr. Sam’s extensive expertise spans physical therapy evaluation, dry needling, cupping, instrument-assisted soft tissue manipulation, clinician-facilitated overstretch, injury prevention group classes, and injury prevention screening. Sam also works currently as a business coach.

Sam leverages her experience and success in building a thriving physical therapy practice to help aspiring physical therapists launch and grow their own businesses. With a focus on how to build community in order to properly market to your IDEAL patient, she guides her clients in creating personalized, flexible service offerings that prioritize patient goals and holistic treatment approaches. Through her coaching, Dr. Sam is committed to empowering physical therapists to achieve their goals of financial & time freedom. All the while, helping to build successful, patient-centered practices that enhance function and movement for your ideal patient.

BILL HASTIE
MBA, CIMA

Hastie Financial Group (HFG) is a 38-year-old wealth management firm in Salinas, CA.  The firm has clients throughout the nation and focuses on helping its clients define and achieve their financial and estate planning goals.  This encompasses comprehensive personal financial and retirement income planning, investment portfolio management, and the design and management of business retirement plans.

Bill Hastie is the founder and managing partner of HFG.  He has a BS in Economics and an MBA in Financial Planning.  His industry designations include Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA), Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst (AIFA), and Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA).

WILLIAM HUMPHREYS
PT

Will is a serial entrepreneur, health care provider, speaker, and author. At 17, he fell off of a mountain breaking both arms and legs. His exposure to the medical field led him to becoming a physical therapist.

 

Later, he became a private practice owner and built a company to multiple locations prior to exiting at 3 times the national average.

 

Today, he teaches others the lessons he learned from decades of practice and hundreds of interviews, hires, and fires. His greatest joy is his wife of 20 years and four sons.

JARRETT M. SHAVITZ
PT, MPT, CSCS, C-IASTM, CDN

Jarrett Shavitz has been practicing physical therapy for over 25 years, including more than 18 years in management role for various physical therapy companies.  In 2019, Jarrett decided to open his own clinic with his business partner and colleague, Optimum Physical Therapy and Wellness. 

After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from West Virginia University School of Medicine, Jarrett went on to get his Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University.  Jarrett has treated both surgical and non-surgical patients, with the goal of restoring maximum function so patients can return to their normal lives and activities. Jarrett takes pride in treating each of his patients individually, taking into consideration their lifestyle and prior level of function when creating a physical therapy treatment plan.  Jarrett also is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, the leading organization in strength and fitness training for athletes.

 

He also obtained a certification in Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) through the Hawk Grip Academy, Dry Needling through Myopain Seminars, and a certification in TMJ management for jaw and headache dysfunctions.
